What’s New & Thoughtful Rating Requests
See a short What’s New screen after an update, shown once to existing users while new installations keep their normal welcome flow. Kissa also offers a permanent Rate Kissa link in Settings and an occasional, optional invitation at a quiet stopping point after a full session. Ratings never grant cups or affect app features.
Help, Support & Feedback in Settings
We are bringing FAQ, Contact Support, Request a Feature, and Roadmap links together in Kissa’s Settings, so help and suggestions are easier to find. The links will open in your browser, with a note when you are visiting an external service. No Kissa account or automatic transfer of your tasks, cups, purchase identity, or Health data is being added. Final checks and release are still pending.
App Language Shortcut
We are adding a Settings shortcut to change only Kissa’s language through your device settings, without changing the device language. Kissa supports 15 languages, with two Chinese script variants for 16 localizations. The screen will explain how to find the language option. Changing language may restart the app, so the shortcut will be unavailable during an active session. Final device checks and release are still pending.
Apple Health Mindful Minutes
We are preparing an optional way to save completed focus sessions and explicitly finished Count Up sessions as Mindful Minutes in Apple Health. It will be off by default and request write-only permission, without reading other Health data. Breathing, breaks, canceled sessions, and restored history will not be exported. Count Up sessions of three hours or more will ask you to confirm the duration before saving, without capping the timer or changing cups. Device testing and release preparation are still in progress. Not yet available in an App Store update.
Manual iCloud Backup & Restore
We are preparing optional manual backups to help you move your café, cups, unlocked items, tasks, history, and settings to another device using your private iCloud storage. The option will be off by default. Restoring will replace local progress as one consistent snapshot, with a safety copy first. It will not merge cup balances or continuously sync devices; Pro access will still be verified separately. Device testing and release preparation are still in progress. Not yet available in an App Store update.
Focus with Friends
Invite friends with a Game Center code and begin a coordinated Pomodoro together. The host shares the timer setup and a temporary café scene, while everyone keeps their own cups, purchases, and progress. Focusing together does not transfer ownership of café items or characters. Available in Kissa 1.2.
Kissa on Mac
Enjoy your cozy café on a bigger screen with Kissa on Apple silicon Macs. The iPad app has a landscape-friendly layout and adjustments for panels, sheets, and pointer interaction. Personal tasks, cups, settings, and history remain local to each installation. This release does not add Intel Mac support or automatic device-to-device syncing. Available in Kissa 1.2.
12 Achievements to Celebrate Your Progress
Celebrate your consistency with twelve illustrated achievements for focus sessions, time, tasks, and other milestones. Progress is visible locally, with optional Game Center achievement syncing. Achievements turn from grayscale to color when earned. Game Center points are separate from cups and do not unlock Pro. Available in Kissa 1.2.
Gentle Focus Support & Session Alerts
Choose Open Table for a quiet timer or Gentle Nudge for an optional reminder to return when you leave during focus. Notifications always depend on your device permission, and Kissa never blocks other apps. Session alerts and optional break suggestions support the transition between focus and rest, with sound-repeat options while waiting to continue.
Tasks, Planning & Progress
Choose a task or a small next step before focusing, and look back at your session history. Adding tasks is always intentional, while custom tags are available with Kissa Pro. Pro also includes planned sessions, calendar, Timeline, and statistics for focus time, sessions, tasks, and streaks. Optional planned-session reminders open Kissa with the saved timer setup.
